Dzukaev Dmitriy Nikolayevich

Since 1987 till 1993 he worked as the research associate of Spine and Spinal Cord Injury Department, where under the supervision by assoc. member AMS USSR Prof. Yumashev G.S he performed complex microsurgical operations on the spine and spinal cord, and made a research in this particular field.

Since 1993 he manages Neurosurgery Department, which specializes in spine and spinal cord surgery.

It is the reference center for patients with acute spine injuries and degenerative spine diseases.

Dmitriy Dzukaev was the first surgeon in Moscow, who started to implement new technologies in spinal fusion that promote early ambulation and fast recovery.

He participated in fellowship programs in the best clinics of France (Lille), Switzerland (Basel), Austria (Innsbruck).

For the last 5 years he participates in Association of Osteosynthesis (AO) meetings in Davos (Switzerland).

In 2004 he was the first Russian speaker at this international congress with his presentation on spinal surgery.

In December 2006 he made four presentations in Davos congress and participated in several practical seminars.

He developed new surgical approaches for complicated spinal injury and different degenerative spine diseases, including disc herniation.

His goal is 'implementing new surgical technologies for broad patient population' and 'target surgical approach for every patient'.
